You’re Most Likely to Forget Photos When You’re in a Hurry
Whenever we get together as a family—whether it’s a grandparent’s birthday or a holiday like New Year’s—we almost always plan to take photos.
But when there’s a set departure time or a taxi waiting, the end of the gathering can feel rushed, and photos often get pushed aside.
You tell yourself, “I’ll take some later,” but somehow later never comes.
Before you know it, everyone’s heading out the door—and the moment is gone.
Take the Group Photo First
One simple way to avoid this is to take a group photo as soon as everyone arrives.
Just one or two shots at the beginning can make a big difference.
If things get hectic at the end, you’re already covered. And if there’s time later, you can always take more photos when everyone’s relaxed.
“Won’t Taking Photos Ruin the Moment?”
It’s easy to feel like focusing on your camera during a party or trip will pull you out of the experience.
But honestly, the regret of not capturing an important moment tends to stick with you much longer.
That’s why it helps to get the photos out of the way early.
Once you do, you can put the camera down and fully enjoy the time you’re sharing.
Final Thoughts
Every moment happens only once, and being present is incredibly important.
At the same time, photos give us a way to revisit meaningful memories long after they’ve passed.
So if you want to avoid that “I wish I’d taken a photo” feeling,
remember this: take the photos first, then enjoy the moment.
(Just my two cents 😊)
